Dont remember where but long back I had come across the fact that if you have an idea, you are responsible for it. Dont expect others to take it up to its natural conclusion. It's your baby.
Few days ago I was watching NDTV profit and the presentor gave a simillar line. "Great ideas dont die, they just get diluted." It was a program on innovation and what we know as intrapreneurship. How often do we come up with ideas that are turned down by our superiors. But several of these are visions that never leave you. It really does get diluted. And a day comes when you face your idea in a different form, owned by someone else. Perseverance could have made all the difference. But this is not as easy as it sound. All I myself have been able to do is revisit some of these ideas periodically, make up a plan to revive and realize somewhere down the line that the zeal has fizzled out.
