the curious story of ..

What a movie!!! Just finished watching "The curious case of Benjamin Button" You will need a lot of patience but it is enjoyable. Reminded me of the time, I first saw "the forest gump". Slow easy narration, stretching over an era, interleaving events that you know with that in the life of the central character.

Now, without giving anything away, I can say that it is a story of child born old and as time goes by he becomes younger and younger. What if this really happened...see the movie. You keep watching to see how things turn out. Benjamin finds adventure, romance, love, youth as he grows younger but people around him get older. Makes a very nice point about how nothing lasts..

I kept thinking where I had read something like this. I found out that F. Scott Fitzgerald had written a short story on the similar lines. But the movie has shown the story so wonderfully, I can swear it is going to be remembered as a classic.

I loved the way, the character Benjamin's looks have been handled. The resemblance to Brad Pitt on the very old and weary looking kid is uncanny. You will love to watch him grow younger till he is the dashing young Brad Pitt wearing his shades and driving a bike. Then again he returns after years when he looks like he is 20. The make up guy has really done wonders..

There are a few really nice lines in the movie.. I picked these up from the imdb page which btw has given it a 8.5 on 10. That simply means a must watch..

Benjamin Button: You can be mad as a mad dog at the way things went; you can swear and curse the fates - but when it comes to the end, you have to let go.

You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
