Going beyond my general taste for blue...this thing somehow mystifies me. And it has been so for years now. May be I saw something like this in some hollywood classic when i was a teenager and since then i have been searching but it was some 2/3 years back that i came to know that I was actually looking for a sapphire and this one is a blue star sapphire. A really rare one.
Hopefully I can someday get this one and put it to the use I have in mind.
