ROT : Return on Time

A few days back, I was having a chat with a friend over a cup of cofee. I knew him to be an avid reader, so I started telling him about this new book by Chetan Bhagat. He listened and then said, "My book reading has drastically decreased. I dont keep track of all these things now."

"Kind of expected" I said, "It' just been a few weeks since you got engaged. But does it mean you give up old habits."
"Well No." he replied, "Its all a matter of Return on Time."

I think you must have guessed the crux by now.
Considering the limited amount of time that you get, you tend to apportion it to available means of entertainment in decreasing order of perceived returns.

My good friend then went on to explain several known phenomenons around us by the same logic of return on time. Some of these are: Spending less time with friends.. No friday evening freakouts.. Rushing home even before office hour finishes.. staying awake on long distance calls till 3 AM..

fundu word :)
