This is a part of a mail i had send to my close friends some time back. Got it while cleaning up my Outlook.
I wanted to share with you the list of best business books in 2006. This particular one is from a site called Strategy+Business. There is a specific reason to refer to this list. Those whom I had sent a similar list (Please see the attached xls sheet) last year would agree that this is a damned good source. The books suggested in list were the ones most quoted and discussed last year.
I am attaching the pdf which gives the review and outline of each selected book to help to draw up your wish list.
My wish list from the selection in order of preference:
Stanley Bing, Rome, Inc.: The Rise and Fall of the First Multinational Corporation
John Kay, The Hare and the Tortoise: An Informal Guide to Business Strategy
Yochai Benkler, The Wealth of Networks: How Social Production Transforms Markets and Freedom
Glenn Reynolds, An Army of Davids: How Markets and Technology Empower Ordinary People to Beat Big Media, Big Government, and Other Goliaths
Michael J. Mauboussin, More Than You Know: Finding Financial Wisdom in Unconventional Places
And please if you spot any of these feel free to send them across :)
